In this policy paper, the Stars of hope Society for the empowerment of women with disabilities and the Social and Economic Policies Monitor shed light on the awareness of women with disabilities of institutions working in the field of protection and examines the services provided by these institutions and evaluates their effectiveness, focusing on the national referral program and the gaps within it that have led to the exclusion of women with disabilities from this system.
Based on the above, the partners provide detailed recommendations at the end of the paper supporting the inclusion of women with disabilities in the referral system and related procedures to ensure they are not excluded from the protection system. The paper also calls on service providers in both governmental and non-governmental institutions to commit to implementing a series of practices and procedures to improve the inclusion of women with disabilities in the services they offer.
