Thisp osition paper continues SHS and Al Marsad’s advocacy for protecting women with disabilities from violence. Structural violence persists due to weak legal frameworks, allowing government institutions to discriminate against and marginalize women with disabilities. Despite Palestine’s ratification of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and its commitment to the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, existing policies still fail to meet their needs.
The paper underscores the urgent need for decision-makers to recognize and address violence against persons with disabilities, particularly women, and implement policy reforms that ensure their full inclusion.
