The situation of women and girls with disabilities worsened under the emergency state

At the end March, the Stars of hope Society  (SHS) for the empowerment of women with disabilities in partnership with the Social and Economic Policies Monitor (Al Marsad),and within the framework of the protection program ‘Hemaya’, have launched a survey aimed toward assessing the needs of women with disabilities in the West Bank during the state of emergency declared by the Palestinian presidency due to  the Covid 19 . The survey included lists of women and girls with disabilities in various provinces, and then they were contacted to assess their reality using a special assessment model of needs, that focuses on the effects of economic disruption in emergency situations and its impact on girls and women with disabilities, particularly in terms of their exercise of their right to health and education in light of the lack of adaptations.
