Stars of Hope Society believes that economic empowerment is a fundamental pillar in reducing the marginalization faced by women with disabilities. It is also an effective tool for combating poverty and achieving economic independence. Based on this, the society has allocated a special project for the economic empowerment of women with disabilities in particular.
Project Objectives:
Stars of Hope Society strives to achieve a sustainable impact in the West Bank and Gaza by:
- Economically empowering women with disabilities, contributing to improved quality of life, and ensuring a stable source of income.
- Enhancing access to employment opportunities for women with disabilities in alignment with decent work standards for persons with disabilities.
- Supporting women in launching micro-enterprises across various business sectors, fostering their economic independence.
- Providing specialized vocational training programs in collaboration with vocational training centers to ensure skill development tailored to labor market needs.
- Creating more inclusive and accessible workplaces, increasing fair employment opportunities for women with disabilities.
Sustainability and Ensuring Inclusive Work Environments:
To ensure long-term impact, Stars of Hope Society is working on establishing specialized offices dedicated to developing best practices for workplace accessibility and providing consultations for employers on inclusion policies and fair employment practices. This intervention aims to guarantee inclusive work environments that accommodate the needs of persons with disabilities and align with international decent work standards.
