Project to Support the Environment, Protection, and Inclusiveness Services for Children with Disabilities at the Family and Juvenile Protection Police Department

The Stars of Hope Society, in partnership with the Family and Juvenile Protection Police Department, is implementing this project to reduce barriers at both institutional and social levels. This is achieved through capacity building and addressing multi-layered obstacles that prevent individuals with disabilities, especially children, from accessing protection services provided by various family and juvenile protection units in the West Bank. The aim is to create an environment free from disability-based discrimination.

To efficiently achieve this goal, the Stars of Hope Society is responsible for assessing the level of disability inclusion across all family and juvenile protection units. This involves executing activities designed to reduce disability-based discrimination and committing to training staff on effective methods for including disability, particularly those directly involved in service delivery. The project strives to create an environment that actively prevents marginalization and discrimination against individuals with disabilities, particularly in the context of family protection services for children and youth with disabilities
